As a professional designer, I collaborate with clients by starting with a deep dive into their brand values, target audience, and goals.

  • Discovery Session: Discuss their vision, preferences, and inspirations.
  • Research: Study their industry and competitors for context. What works, what doesn't. Which competitors do they admire and why?
  • Mood Boards: Share visual ideas to confirm the desired look and feel. This can also include working on the brand tone of voice.
  • Draft & Refine: Create the style guide in stages, incorporating feedback at each step.
  • Finalization: Deliver a polished, comprehensive guide that aligns with their vision.

Clear communication and regular feedback ensure the style guide truly represents their brand.

Hope this helps!

Collaborating with clients to create a brand style guide that aligns with their vision and goals involves a structured and interactive process. First, I begin with a thorough discovery phase, where I learn about the client's brand, target audience, and objectives through detailed conversations and questionnaires. This helps me understand their expectations and the essence of their brand.

Next, I develop initial concepts and drafts based on the information gathered. I present these to the client, encouraging their feedback and input. It's crucial to maintain open and transparent communication throughout this stage to ensure that their vision is accurately reflected. I iterate on the designs, making adjustments based on the client's feedback and suggestions.

Once the client approves the initial concepts, I finalize the brand style guide. This document includes guidelines for logo usage, color palettes, typography, imagery, and other brand elements. To ensure consistency, I provide clear instructions on how to apply these elements across various platforms and materials. Throughout the process, I remain flexible and responsive to the client's needs, ensuring that the final style guide aligns perfectly with their vision and goals.

My process begins with a discovery phase, where I conduct interviews and workshops to understand the client's vision, goals, and target audience. I then create an initial draft of the style guide, incorporating their input and presenting options for key elements like color palettes, typography, and tone. Throughout the process, I encourage feedback and iterate collaboratively, ensuring the final guide reflects their brand identity while meeting strategic objectives.

I also offer Zoom meetings as part of the process, where we can collaborate in real-time to make adjustments together. This ensures that every detail aligns perfectly with the client’s vision and allows for immediate feedback, creating a seamless and efficient design experience.

My process for collaborating with clients to create a brand style guide is based primarily on analysis, observation, fluid communication, and creativity.

It's very important for me to listen and understand what the clients need so that I can then translate their ideas, vision, and objectives into a solid and consistent visual product. I like to work alongside my clients and I'm always attentive to their proposals and suggestions.

During the creation process, I use the visual and the narrative, connecting each element with the brand vision to achieve the best result.

Brands need consistency and cohesion to be reliable. That's why I like to develop guides that have clear guidelines.
Focusing on the company's logo, I create precise and detailed guidelines for the visual elements that reflect the essence of the brand, from fonts to color schemes, iconography, do's and don't's. Defining in a solid way the vision and the most important visual elements is key for a company's visual communication to be successful and memorable.

I present the guide, encouraging the client to offer me their feedback and work together until we get the best brand style guide.
