If you’re planning to launch your own clothing brand, research is key. Start by exploring similar brands and categories to gain a clear understanding of current market trends. Analyze the shapes, colors, and materials that other brands are using and identify their best-selling items. Gather photos of these styles from websites, and dive into fashion magazines and online platforms like Pinterest or Instagram to broaden your research.

Once your research is complete, create an inspiration or mood board to highlight the key shapes, colors, and features that resonate with your brand's vision. Based on this, develop a design brief with reference pictures. You can then collaborate with a professional fashion designer or agency to bring your collection to life with a fresh perspective.

After your designs are finalized, it's essential to create a tech pack—a detailed blueprint for manufacturers. The tech pack includes specifications, sewing instructions, size gradings, points of measurement, a bill of materials, and packing instructions. Work closely with your designer to ensure the tech pack accurately reflects your requirements.

When the tech pack is complete, the next step is to find a manufacturer. Send the tech pack for quoting and start the sampling process. Once you receive the sample, conduct fit trials and thoroughly assess the construction, color, material, and overall quality. Provide feedback to the manufacturer, and they will make necessary adjustments to the sample.

Once you're satisfied with the prototype, you can approve it for bulk production. From there, you're ready to launch your new clothing collection to the market!
