To translate a game’s concept and narrative into compelling visual art, we start by immersing ourselves in the game’s story, setting, and characters to define the atmosphere and emotional tone. Here’s our approach:

  • Concept Art Exploration: We sketch diverse visual ideas to capture key themes, blending inspiration from the narrative, setting, and character profiles.
  • Mood Boards & Color Theory: We create mood boards to explore color palettes, lighting, and texture, ensuring each visual element aligns with the world’s feel.
  • Character & Environment Design: We craft characters and environments with distinctive visual traits that support storytelling and gameplay mechanics, creating an engaging player experience.
  • Player Testing: Through iterative testing, we gather player feedback within our team to refine the visuals, ensuring they resonate with the audience and deepen immersion.

I would say every design start with the concept arts.

I aways imagine the narrative inside my head as some sort of movie.

I make my self the main character and think the game that way. If its not RPG and just Puzzle or casual game I close my eyes and try to make something in my head that I like and then keep thinking about this untill I start to remeber it even if I am working on my computer.

Then the next step is to prepare the concept art but never to forget technical requirements.

Its alway very helpful to think as game developer while you are preparing the game Arts so there won't be any chances to revisit the design after the concepts or the designs are done.

Once the concept arts are done I add up the same vibe colors and try best to match my Initial thoughts.

This is very simple process but you must have to stick to it and keep working untill you get the best out of you!
