Amina Y 5.0 (561) Graphics & Design Posted October 31 0 Storytelling and illustrations share a profound connection that deeply resonates with readers. When creating a full-page illustration for a storybook, I focus on crafting self-explanatory visuals that convey the essence of the story on their own. Visual storytelling often leaves a stronger impact than text alone, enhancing comprehension and engagement. To maintain clarity, I strategically place text in areas where it won’t disrupt key background elements, such as positioning it in the sky if children are playing in an open playground scene. This careful balance ensures the artwork and words complement each other seamlessly. Danielle Ongo 5.0 (119) Graphics & Design Posted October 15 0 As a character designer I always believe that making dynamic and expressive characters can enhance the story you want to tell. A character can tell a whole lot without words: we can guess what is the character's personality by understanding its silhouette, facial expression and pose/gesture. Studying figure drawing can improve your skills a lot. That way you can make expressions/poses more clearly and lively. Colors also plays a major role in a story. They can capture feelings and atmosphere. Color theory is a very important study, so invest your understanding of it, pay attention to how colors make people feel and how they can tell a story. Gisuli 5.0 (49) Graphics & Design Posted August 27 0 - Making small details that can engage the viewer. - Drawing action scene where you can use both foreground and background for storytelling Basically using the whole space for interesting aspects that viewer can study, but you can also make it straightforward with movement. Shading can help to give the mood and drawing style can give the emotional effect for the specific parts (like chaotic scene don't have straight lines etc) See profile Link to comment https://answers.fiverr.com/qa/10_graphics-design/35_illustration/how-can-you-incorporate-storytelling-into-your-illustrations-r310/#findComment-631 Share on other sites
