Sketch vs. Figma - which tool do you prefer for UX design, and what aspects influence your decision?

I prefer Figma for UX design because it meets modern design needs with cloud-based collaboration, cross-platform compatibility, and real-time updates. Its built-in prototyping, version control, and community-driven resources streamline workflows, making it ideal for remote teams and agile environments. In contrast, Sketch is limited to Mac and relies on third-party tools for collaboration, which can hinder efficiency in fast-paced projects.

While both Sketch and Figma are excellent tools for UX design, I prefer Figma for its modern features and collaborative capabilities. Here's why:

Collaboration: Figma's cloud-based platform enables real-time collaboration, making it easy for teams to work together, share feedback, and manage updates instantly. This is especially beneficial for remote teams and client reviews.

Cross-Platform Accessibility: Unlike Sketch, which is Mac-exclusive, Figma works seamlessly on any operating system, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for all team members.

Version Control: Figma’s automatic saving and version history simplify tracking changes without the need for external tools like Git or manual file management.

Ease of Prototyping: Figma integrates design and prototyping seamlessly within a single platform, eliminating the need for additional software. Its prototyping tools also allow easy testing of interactions and user flows.

Community Resources: Figma offers a robust library of plugins, templates, and community-contributed resources, speeding up workflows and adding versatility.

While Sketch remains a great tool with robust design capabilities and a plugin ecosystem, its limitations in collaboration and cross-platform functionality make Figma my preferred choice for modern, user-centered, and collaborative design projects.
