This would generally include the header and hero section. Optimizing this space would mean to ensure a clear menu navigation of your site within the header and include your business logo. The hero section would generally include an impactful image and small amount of text such as a title, sub heading and call to action (CTA). Optimizing for impact would result in the viewer wanting to scroll further or click on your CTA. The moment that the screen loads should allow the viewer to understand what it is that your business provides. This gives us just a few seconds to make an impact and grab the attention of the viewer. The text itself could even be a question to the viewer that would help to grab their attention and entice them to scroll or click more. Optimizing for speed will result in a fast loading page, which is what you want for your users. Otherwise they may click away before the above the fold content has loaded. In order to achieve this you will need to compress your images to the smallest file size without impacting the overall resolution. Stick to a minimum of 2 fonts on your website will also help reduce loading times. Upload your logo as an svg file to retain the best quality across screen sizes at the lowest file size.
