When I'm experiencing any sort of creator's block, I usually browse online and listen to the music within the scope of the project I'm working on, or I go and watch a movie, play a game (even if it's not in the same genre of the current project), read about some historical things, or even bake something and be as artistic as possible in decorating my culinary creation! To me, everything is art and always brings out a musical curiosity/fascination for me, and this helps me overcome the blockage, wowing my customers every time. 🙂

The creative process is the result of lived experiences. With the passing of time and study, creative block no longer exists. There is no creative block that can resist the study of voice leading and counterpoint!

Finding inspiration during a creative block often involves stepping away from the project to recharge. Exploring different genres, revisiting favorite pieces, or drawing from personal experiences can spark new ideas. Immersing yourself in nature, art, or even a good book often opens fresh perspectives. Collaboration or experimenting with unfamiliar instruments and sounds can also bring unexpected creativity.

When I face a creative block there is of course different ways but of course some free ways is listening to youtube songs or if you have "splice" then you can check around different samples to start your groundwork even better is there is a ai mode that collects samples that work with each other so you can random create a layer of samples that work

Creative block is normal, it happens! When I face it, I take a break, sometimes for a few hours or even a few days. I try to relax my mind by traveling. While traveling, I listen to music that's outside my usual boundaries, exploring different genres I don’t typically listen to. I might listen to random tracks, play different chords on guitar, or experiment with arpeggios on a VST until the block fades away naturally. For me, the key is to stay relaxed!

I often pick up a guitar and play with chord progressions or sonically doodle on a piano. If I am working on a movie scene, I usually kill all the sound and watch the scene silently.  If inspiration is really dry I will explore chord progressions from classical music.

When working with lyrics, I try to feel the emotions of the written word and translate them into music.  With either film or lyrics, I allow those to be center stage and the music track to enhance them.

When I’m looking for some inspo, I pretty much just mix it up and see where it takes me. I’ll jump on YouTube and check out music from all kinds of genres (even stuff totally unrelated to what I’m working on) just to get new ideas. I’m also a big gamer, so I'll play something but pay close attention to the soundtrack—always cool to see how other game composers handle their music. Sometimes I'll dive into a book and imagine what kind of track would go along with it, or just doodle and think of what music would fit the drawing. Honestly, I just go with the flow and keep it fun!

My personal experience.

I take some time off, take a walk or go on YouTube or generally browse the internet. Sometimes I can take a nap (in most cases this works for me).

If this doesn't work, in some rare cases, I call friends who're in the same field with me and that helps a great deal 🙂
