To quickly adapt to any style that requires our services as musicians, it is best to always try to be open to all types of genres and stay up to date with current trends. If we have no prejudices regarding any genre and broaden our horizon, without a doubt, this will bear fruit and we will be able to cover more and more genres that interest us and are requested!

You need to be open to various styles of music when it comes to your listening habits. If a client needs something specific, sometimes a deep dive in to the genre, key players, etc. will help you come up with ideas.

It's honestly years of experience as well as doing the deep dive on different styles at previous points in my career. For example, I don't play latin music every day but took two classes on it in college then working on cruise ships where I was able to utilize some of that training in the real work...so when a lastin session comes up I can lean on that past experience.

As a guitarist, apart from the deep knowledge of each style you also need the right equipment. I have invested in many guitars and different amps so I can get from spanky cleans and in-between tones. to fat leads where neccesary.

My approach to quickly adapting to different musical styles starts with fully absorbing the vibe of the song. I listen carefully to understand the genre, and if needed, I ask the artist for reference tracks to ensure the drum sound aligns perfectly with the style. From there, I break down the song’s structure and all musical details like accents, ostinatos, and dynamics to craft a drum performance that complements the track.
