There are so many topics, themes, stories and tales on this earth and beyond to put into a song. Sometimes a song needs more lyrics, sometimes 4 phrases are more than enough. When I need to write a long song with a lot of lyrics I close my eyes and feel if this song leads me to write a love song or about nature, about pain or happiness, about artificial dimensions or the here and now as a human being etc.
When I found the main topic, I create the melody first by humming. Then I find words that fit into the syllables and rhyme scheme and I create a story, a monologue, a narrative etc. Sometimes it's just enough looking outside the window. And suddenly I write about the small streets of happiness.

You have to stay inspired as a human being, before you can be inspired musically. We can only reflect what we know, and we can only pour out emotions that overflow. If you know nothing, and you feel nothing, your music will be uninspired. I think another way the question could be phrased which might help anyone come closer to an answer is:

What is inspiration?

It's not copying, so you shouldn't need to be taking in other peoples music to be inspired.

It's not hard work. There are many people who work all their lives and never write one song that's worth listening to.

So what is it?

I would say it's allowing something beyond mental activity to flow. The more you think about it, the less it works.

That's some great songwriter stop writing good songs after a certain point, while other don't. If they get too caught up with trying to recreate success for example it cripples them. The process should be simple and natural. If it's not then the question is wrong, and the approach is wrong.

Try and listen to all kinds of music and figure out what is it from those songs that you find cool even if it isn't "your thing". Then you can try and incorporate those things into whatever you're writing even if just as an exercise.

Also, actively listen to the songs you already love and keep an ear out for the things they're doing that you're not. Specially if it's something that resonates with you and excites you.

I keep the inspiration flowing by mixing things up. Jamming to new tunes, trying out different sounds, or working with other creatives. I never let myself get too stuck in one vibe. The more you experiment, the more you grow. That's my sercret ingredient.

Once there is a template of making music in a certain genre, you have to then break it and rebuild. Meaning, hip hop/trap uses 808s, hi-hats, and certain tempo. But what if you take out all the melodies and just use drums, no chords? What if I whisper the hook instead of singing it? The new style  is always built from experimenting and mixing things that shouldn't go together. That allows you to always be inspired, the possibilities are endless!

stay inspired by constantly seeking out new experiences, whether through travel, collaborations, or listening to different genres of music. Inspiration can come from anything—conversations, emotions, or even a single sound. To evolve as a songwriter, I challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone, experiment with new techniques, and stay curious. That openness keeps my creativity flowing and helps me grow with every project.
