For all the workers out there, I have to say Adobe Auditions Batch Processing, BP is where you can tell the software to process 1000s of audio files at the same time is a game changer.

Batch processing saves tons of time.

Plus Adobe is very versatile for any audio conversion needs.

I would recommend Audacity for formatting and converting audio files.

It's a free bit of software that works on both PC and Mac and supports a vast amount of audio files types including; mp3, wav, aiff, au, and ogg.

Also if you install the optional FFmpeg library, it opens up the options to support wma and audio from most video files.

If you want to convert a video file to an audio file very simply, you can use the format factory, but if you want to do it more professionally, I suggest moving with Adobe Audition, which has very advanced features to process any kind of audio file.

Audacity is an excellent free audio editing software that allows for recording, multi-track editing, and noise reduction.

On the other hand, Adobe Audition is more advanced. It offers better quality and additional features like batch processing if you’re working with a lot of files.

Those who are getting started with audio editing should go for Audacity as it is an open source/free software and can make you understanding how editing DAWs usually work. If you need to advance in the audio editing, then you can go for Adobe Audition, FL Studio and there are plenty more software to help you continue your audio editing journey.

I think Audacity and Adobe Audition are great options.

Audacity is free and super versatile for basic tasks like cutting, converting, and editing audio. It's perfect if you're looking for a no-cost, reliable tool.

On the other hand, Adobe Audition is more advanced. It offers better quality and additional features like batch processing if you’re working with a lot of files. However, it comes with a subscription fee.
