Emanuel 5.0 (88) Music & Audio Posted Monday at 09:29 AM 0 I'd say a good mix of both is always a good idea. I do get customers from overseas and non german countries at a similar rate as locals. That's the beauty of fiverr - you can be found by anyone. I wouldn't say that international work is always higher paying, but I enjoy working with people who have a vision. Kash A 5.0 (330) Music & Audio Posted November 28 0 Both local and international markets have their advantages, but in today’s digital age, focusing on the international market can be more advantageous. The world is more connected than ever, and platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, and Voices.com allow voice actors to reach global clients with just a click. That being said, local markets still offer solid opportunities, especially if you’re looking to build a strong presence in your home country and have direct relationships with clients. For example, in my own journey, I started with local gigs at a Radio FM Station and built up a reputation. But over time, working with international clients for audiobooks and voiceover work has expanded my horizons significantly. International work can bring higher-paying opportunities and more variety in terms of genres—whether it’s commercials, animations, or video games. Plus, you get to work with diverse teams and different cultural narratives, which can add to your range and skill set. But, ultimately, it’s important to balance both, especially if you’re trying to build long-term, sustainable work. Local markets can provide a steady stream of projects, while international markets can provide growth and exposure on a larger scale.
