When delivering voiceovers, is it more efficient to use Dropbox or Google Drive?

Both methods are good, but in my experience, Google Drive is a bit easier and faster.

However, through Fiverr, you can send audio files of any size, so you don’t have to worry about that.

As a tip, if you’re delivering a large WAV file (300 MB or more), it would be a good idea to send the audio compressed in ZIP or RAR format.

When delivering voiceovers, I prioritize simplicity and efficiency. The "Three-Clicks Ultimate Rule of the Internet" applies here: if it takes more than three clicks to access something, it’s frustrating for the recipient. Both Google Drive and Dropbox can sometimes complicate access with permission settings or prompts to download their apps, which can slow things down.

That’s why I prefer using platforms like WeTransfer, or my personal favorite, SwissTransfer (well, I am Swiss myself)—efficient, user-friendly, and in true Swiss fashion, reliable. These options ensure clients can access files easily without unnecessary hassle.

Note: When working on a Fiverr order, attaching a file to the delivery gets the job done effortlessly!

In my years here on Fiverr, I have never needed to use either Google Drive or Dropbox to deliver voiceovers.  I have only used those to receive scripts or videos from clients.

The Fiverr system works just fine at sending large files. You can zip the files to compress them and also send in folders if you have many files to deliver.

I have never used Dropbox but since I have a gmail account, when I send a customer a file through email, it will default to Google Drive. I have also found WeTransfer to be a great program to send people large files for free.

As long as you're using Fiverr, you won't have to worry about file transfers since it's all done on their interface.

For storing my work, though, I prefer to store all of my work locally on an external SSD.

I would rather stay on fiverr and simply use ZIP archives with folders. The delivery is done through fiverr and imho it's best practice to go through the official delivery system. In case of a dispute I would really want to rely on my delivery being on fiverr servers.

While I’ve used both Google Drive and Dropbox extensively, I find Google Drive to be a more versatile and efficient solution, especially for collaborative and organizational needs. Google Drive offers seamless integration with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets, and Slides, making it ideal for real-time collaboration. Additionally, it provides 15GB of free storage, significantly more than Dropbox's 2GB free tier, which is helpful for managing larger projects without upgrading immediately.

The interface of Google Drive is intuitive, and its search functionality is powered by Google’s robust engine, making it quicker to locate specific files even within extensive folders. Furthermore, Google Drive’s pricing for higher storage tiers is more competitive, offering better value for long-term scalability. While Dropbox does excel in faster upload speeds, Google Drive’s broader features and ecosystem make it a more cohesive and organized choice for most workflows
