laserlife 5.0 (18049) Mastering engineer Posted November 13 0 Start by finding a beat that inspires you, something you like, and brings out a cool vibe in your performance. for rappers, I also think it’s really important to be on time, because rap is almost percussive and rhythmic in the way it locks in with the beat. If your bars are off, the vocals will sound very disjointed. Work on rapping to a click if possible, and you’ll be able to master timing the more you do it.
