Ave B. 5.0 (409) Music & Audio Posted October 29 0 I tailor my music lessons by first assessing each student’s learning style and pace. For visual learners, I incorporate sheet music and visuals; for auditory learners, I focus on listening and ear training. I adjust the lesson pace to match the student’s progress, reinforcing concepts as needed. With varying skill levels, I use simplified or advanced exercises, choosing pieces and techniques that challenge students appropriately. I emphasize foundational skills while introducing new concepts gradually, fostering confidence and growth in every session. Andrea Nortje 5.0 (449) Music & Audio Posted October 28 0 I make sure to have a chat with each student before every lesson. From there I can usually tell what they would like to work on, or what they would like to learn for the first time. And this is how I ended up being able to tailor my lessons for each individual: MATERIAL! I have spent 20 years playing my instrument, gathering books, audio/visual aids, I’ve created thousands of sheets/TABS myself, pictures and playthrough videos. I have terabytes of material saved and sorted into skill levels, categories, techniques and genre. So no matter what a student asks for, I will have something prepared to send them and we have something to work on and discuss.
