As an event planner who has created conferences with hundreds of attendees and small workshops with a dozen people - don't skimp on photography.  I know everyone has a cellphone these days, but it is not worth it in the long run. 

Here's what I look for in a good photographer:

Tip #1: Referral - I am a relationship buyer. This means I always go my business community first and my circle of likeminded professionals for a good referral.

Tip# 2 Reliability & Professionalism: You want someone who is punctual, communicative, and easy to work with. Check their reviews or ask for references to get a sense of their professionalism and reliability.  You want someone who will come when they say.

Tip #3 Contract:  Find a reliable professional who gives you a contract. That little piece of paper will keep everyone on the same page,
