In my experience, linear editing feels outdated and restrictive compared to non-linear editing. While linear editing works for simple, straightforward projects where changes are minimal like live broadcasts or basic sequences it quickly becomes cumbersome if adjustments are needed, as everything has to be redone sequentially. Non-linear editing, on the other hand, is a game changer.

It offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing you to jump to any part of the video, rearrange clips, and add layers or effects without impacting the overall flow. This freedom fosters creativity, making it easier to experiment and polish your work. For anyone serious about video editing, non-linear editing is the clear choice, as it combines efficiency with limitless creative potential.

Well, honestly, non-linear editing (NLE) is way ahead in terms of flexibility and creativity compared to linear editing. With NLE, you can jump to any part of your footage anytime, edit stuff, rearrange clips or even add new things without having to mess with the sequence. Linear editing doesn't allow that - you have to edit everything in order, which can be quite limiting and honestly, a pain sometimes.

Creatively, NLE gives you so much freedom. You can experiment with layers, effects, transitions, and if you screw something up, there’s always an undo option. Linear editing doesn’t have that kind of room for trial and error. Once you make a change, it’s done, unless you redo the whole thing.

So, yeah, for any serious work, non-linear editing is the way to go. It’s faster, more flexible, and lets you push your creative limits without worrying about messing up permanently.
