If it`s 3D animation you can render it vertically and horizontally, For filming in my experience If you record 4K or more, You can crop it for the vertical, Also, when filming, pay attention to the fact that you want to have a vertical version at the end of the work

Customize each video for the platform's style. For Instagram, use a vertical format and keep it under one minute. Quick and eye-catching. YouTube needs longer videos with a strong start. TikTok likes short, trendy clips with a fun spin. LinkedIn should be professional but engaging, focusing on value. Always think about the viewers of each platform and its format. Remember captions for those who watch without sound.

As a video creator who has been creating in the digital space since the introduction of Instagram to our social media world, I have learned the importance of optimizing videos for different social media platforms to maximize views, engagement, and sales.

On Instagram, vertical videos are a must, especially for Stories and Reels. These formats are designed to be quick and engaging, so shorter videos tend to perform better. The focus here should be on eye-catching visuals and immediate impact since users often scroll quickly.

For Facebook, you have a bit more flexibility. Square and horizontal videos both work well, and while Facebook supports longer videos, shorter ones tend to get more attention. Facebook is also a great place to add captions, as many users watch videos with the sound off.

YouTube has two different areas of video, regular long-form Youtube videos, and the newest addition to the site, YouTube shorts. For regular YouTube videos, horizontal videos are the norm. It’s a platform where viewers are more likely to watch longer content, so this is where you can dive deeper into your product, offering detailed explanations or tutorials. The key here is to focus on quality content that keeps viewers engaged. YouTube shorts require short form vertical style videos, similar to TikTok and Instagram Reels.

On TikTok, short and snappy vertical videos are essential. The platform is fast-paced, and trends evolve quickly, so being creative and staying on top of current trends can really help your videos stand out.

Finally, LinkedIn is a platform where professional, informative content works best. Horizontal videos with a clear message tend to perform well here, especially when they provide value to the viewer, like industry insights or product demos tailored to a professional audience.

By understanding and adapting to the unique characteristics of each platform, you can make sure your videos are seen and appreciated by the right audience.
