Firstly, I look at the complexity and scope of the project—bigger, more intricate projects generally command higher fees. I also take into account my level of expertise and experience in the field. In my experience pricing is linked with the type of services you are offering as well as the platform you communicating with the client.

On Fiverr, as a Graphic designer and especially as a Photoshop editor, I always decide pricing after understanding the scope of tasks and client requirements, but keep in mind the client budget and their capacity to pay, You sometimes need to compromise on lower budget as every client do not have market competitive budget.

Determining the right price for a service is one of the key elements of our activity as freelancer. The right price is determined by a combination of factors: 1) Type of project, 2) Time needed to complete it, 3) Complexity, 4) Market average price, 5) Competetiveness 6) Best value ratio, 7) Subjectivity (what makes you feel good receiving and what makes the customer feel good giving and make him have the trust the work will be of great value [I can’t offer to work on a complex legal document for just 5$, I would not be credible nor respectful to the market average]) 8)Taxes, sides costs, Fiverr fees. 
 

Keep in mind also the general rule that in determining the price, that generally only a 40% of the price one’s charge is your net revenue. Something more, something less, depending on the tax system of your country. 
 

At times would be good to evaluate the time involved to complete a certain task. How many hours would be needed? How much do you think is the fair hourly rate for this job? For example: imagine you have to translate 400 simple words. It may usually take an expert translator less than 30 minutes. You may calculate the price accordingly equaling a number of words to a specific hourly rate. 
 

Not to underestimate is the upselling of specific extra special services. Does the client need the work extra fast, so that you have to postpone other works? That comes with a cost. 
 

Fiverr is great in offering additional opportunities to add extra needed costs that can make your efforts repaid in full satisfaction. Take time to examine all that you can add to your offers.
