What's your process for ensuring your research methods remain unbiased, especially when the client has preconceived expectations or assumptions?

Since I'm not emotionally or financially invested in their business, it's very easy for me to be unbiased. The main question to ask is "why?" If you keep asking why, that will usually get to the bottom of a correlation or causation. As long as I have proof of why the research is pointing in a certain way, I'm confident we've avoided bias.
