When you're putting together video ads, there are a few key things to think about, as mentioned in previous answers.

Initially, you want to grab attention in the first couple of seconds as consumers are fickle and will skip past anything that doesn't capture their attention immediately. Test different colours, hooks, starting scenes etc. to find your best performers and work from there.

Keep your message short, I'd recommend around 15 to 30 seconds (up to 60 seconds if you really have to). Don't forget a clear call-to-action within that time frame and a good hook to get their eyeballs on your ads.

Most people will be consuming content on their phones. It's critical to make sure your video looks great on mobile. Make platform specific content which is made for the platform you're showing on e.g. YouTube style content for YouTube in this scenario.

Keep it short. Keep it simple. Start with something that grabs attention in the first 5 seconds. Deliver your point clearly. Ensure the visuals stand out. Use a call-to-action that matches the tone of the content. Remember to design for silent viewing. Captions are very important!

When creating video ads for in-stream videos, focus on a few key components. First, make sure your message is clear and grabs attention right from the start, since viewers can skip after a few seconds. Keep it short and engaging—aim for around 15 to 30 seconds.

Use strong visuals and a clear call-to-action to drive engagement. Also, ensure your video is mobile-friendly since many viewers watch on their phones. Lastly, tailor your content to match the platform and audience you're targeting for better results.
